Ballet/Tumbling (Ages 2–3 Beginners)

This 50 minute class provides a glimpse into the dance world while providing the body awareness skills and basic techniques. Creative expression will b e emphasized at this level.

Dress code: leotard, tights, and pink leather ballet shoes

Tap/Ballet I (Ages 3–5 / 5–8 Beginners)

These 50 minute classes are designed to prepare children with the fundamentals for their future dance classes. Children will be introduced to arm, leg and feet positions, gentle stretches and appropriate body alignment, while exploring basic ballet and tap technique and terminology. Classes include 25 minutes of each tap and ballet to accommodate a child’s attention span, while providing the student to exposure to multiple dance forms.

Dress code: – leotard, tights, black tap shoes and pink leather ballet shoes

Tap/Ballet II – (Ages 5+, 1 Year of Experience)

This hour long “continued” class which allows children with dance experience the opportunity to build on their dance basics. The 30 minutes of ballet will include barre work, turns, jumps, and center floor. The 30 minutes of tap will focus on footwork and rhythmic coordination to both popular and classical music.

Dress code: leotard, tights, black tap shoes and pink leather ballet shoes

Tap/Ballet III – (Ages 6+, 2 Years of Experience)

This hour long advanced level class will further an older student’s dance education. There will be emphasis on the basic fundamentals of ballet technique, plus focus on the development of strength, control, posture, grace and precision. Dancers will expand on basic steps previously learned and progress to more challenging ones.

Ballet/Jazz I – (Ages 5+ / Beginners)

Classes are designed to prepare children with the fundamentals for their future dance classes. Children will be introduced to arm, leg, and feet positions, gentle stretches and appropriate body alignment, while exploring basic ballet and jazz technique and terminology. Classes split evenly amongst the techniques to accommodate the child’s attention span while providing the student to multiple dance forms.

Dress code: Leotard, tights, black jazz shoes and pink leather ballet shoes

Hip Hop – (Ages 6+)

Hip hop is a style of jazz incorporating basic steps with high energy street style. Class includes a full warm-up stretch, breakdown of stylized moves and a combination.

Dress code: Comfortable clothes and black hip hop shoes.

Teen Tap – (Ages 13+)

This class will teach a variety of tap techniques and styles.

Dress code: Comfortable clothes (no jeans) and tap shoes with split sole.

Classical Ballet Technique and Repertoire – (Ages 6+, 2 Years of Ballet Experience)

This class teaches the fundamentals of classical ballet plus an exciting study of some of the world’s most famous ballet productions. Every eight weeks a new ballet will be introduced beginning the season with LaFille Mal Gardee’ and progressing to The Nutcracker and more in the spring. Dancers will learn choreography to the original music score and gain a deeper appreciation for the art of dance.

Dress code: Leotard, tights, and pink leather ballet shoes.

Tap / Jazz

This beginner combo class includes 30 minutes of Tap and 30 minutes of Jazz.

Dress code: Dance attire, black tap shoes and black jazz shoes
